How to Create a Post in Fabrik

Begin by selecting “Create” in the bottom-left corner of the documents screen.

Enter the “Title” (headline) and slug.

Always enter a meta title and description. Keep these fields descriptive and keyword-focused. The earlier in the title and description your focus keyword appears, the better, and it should mirror the URL slug as closely as grammar will allow.

On the right-hand side panel, upload your featured image, which should be landscape and cropped to 1200 px width and 628 px tall. Remember to name your image with your URL slug and properly credit the photo.

Assign a category in the drop-down menu to the relevant vertical for the story. If there is a relevant topic page for the story you’re writing, add one, but it is not required. Categories are required to save a post, topics are not.

You can now save your draft once these fields have been entered. We recommend saving frequently to prevent lost work.
