Image Best Practices

Images are likely to be the largest element of your article. To ensure a good experience for readers, it is vital that images are optimized before being uploaded to Fabrik. This helps to ensure that images load quickly for readers.

While Fabrik compresses images by converting them to WEBP files, this process only reduces the original file size by around 20%. As such, we recommend that all images uploaded to Fabrik are JPEG files, which have gone through compression in Photoshop or other image-editing tools.
