Items in Fabrik

Posts in Fabrik are made up of a series of different items. There are several Item types you can use to build a post. Having these content blocks allows you to control how elements of a story are grouped together. It also prevents ads on the site from interrupting story elements that should not be interrupted.

Regular Items

Regular items are items that contain one field. These include:

Copy Item

Embed Item

Branded Button Item

Blockquote Item

Combination Items

Combination items are items that contain several different fields. These include:

Heading/Copy Item

Heading/Embed Item

Embed/Copy Item

Heading/Embed/Copy Item

Embed/Branded Button/Copy Item

At least one field in these items must be used, but others can be left blank if needed.

Combination items help to ensure that ads do not fire in-between content that should be together. For example, using “Heading/Copy'' allows you to ensure an ad will not appear between a heading and the paragraph below it.
