Creating a New Author

Authors are the front-facing profiles that articles are published under. For users who will be publishing articles under their own names, it is easiest to create authors for them during the user creation process.

However, if you need to create an author profile for someone who does not need access to Fabrik, such as a ghostwriter or brand, an author can be created manually without creating them a Fabrik account.

If a writer is added to a new organization after their account has already been created, you should also create an author account manually.

Creating a New Author

1. Begin by navigating to the 'Authors' page by clicking the hamburger menu in the top left corner of Fabrik and then clicking 'Authors'.

2. To begin creating an Author, click 'Create' in the bottom left corner of the 'Author' page.
